There is a popular story of an old wise man who likes to sit at the gate of the city and when a man came along, he asked him, "Sir, can you tell me what kind of people live in this city? The wise old man asked, "What kind of people live in the city that you came from? The man answered, "Oh they were a terrible lot, very negative and boring!" The old wise man answered, "The people in this city are exactly the same!". The man thank the old man and carried on his journey to another city.
The next day another man came along and asked the same question, and the old wise man asked him the same question he asked the other man. This man answered differently, "The people were wonderful, positive and very interesting!", The old wise man answered, "The people in this city are exactly the same!" The moral of the story is your attitude, outlook and beliefs create your reality!
There are two groups of people, one group loves MLM, they think MLM means Make Life Meaningful and Make Lots of Money. The other group hates MLM, they think MLM means Make Life Miserable and Many Lose Money.
I have been in this wonderful business for 22 years and don't take my word for it, do your due diligence and listen to what successful people are saying about MLM or network marketing. MLM is the old term, the modern term is network marketing, about building a network of independent distributors.
So what is MLM or network marketing? MLM stands for Multi-Level Marketing. You have multi levels of people in your organization or you can called it tiers. In a two-tier affiliate program in internet marketing, you are paid at two levels. In a multi-level business, you are paid from 7 to 12 levels, depending on the compensation plan. Because of the vast difference in levels, many internet marketing experts are jumping onto the network marketing wagon!
The definition of network marketing from the new term is quite obvious, It comes from two important words, network and marketing. It is a very innovative form of marketing through a network of independent distributors applying word-of-mouth marketing, the most effective form of marketing!
