“GOD IS GREAT!”

Whether you believe in a God or not, you will benefit from reading this post because it is filled with Love! Yes God is Love and Love is God. Love is the answer and love is they way.

Loving is living, giving, caring, sharing and forgiving. We all make mistakes, all have sinned and that is why God sacrificed His only son to wash away our sins, to give us a second chance!

I love to use acronyms to share my message and "GOD IS GREAT!" is a great acronym for Good, Opportunities, Disciples, Integrity, Service, Give, Righteousness, Empower, Ask, Think and ! - Represents the Irresistible Offer!

I'll touch briefly on this acronym and will share more with you at our free training sessions.

Good - God and You. One of the "o" in Good is found in "You" and you are left with "Y" and "U" which stands for Yes and Universal laws. God is love and God is good and you are part of God.

Start the morning with God in mind, "This is the day which the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!" See the good in others, see God in them because God is in everyone of us, we are part of God. God is Great!

Opportunities - God has given us lots of opportunities to do good every day! God gives us great opportunities. God has given us the ultimate success formula, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." - Matthew 6:33

Disciples - Jesus want us to be his disciples, he made it very clear when he said, "Follow me." Follow the footsteps of Jesus and live righteously. Yes it is going to take discipline and along the way you may stumble and fall, we all make mistakes.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” - John 13:34-35

Jesus do not make judgment, he only ask for repentance. When Jesus saw the people who were going to stone the women who committed adultery, he made it very clear by writing on the ground, "Those who have not sinned, throw the first stone." He knows that all have sinned, and he told the woman, "Go and sin no more."

Integrity - God has made it very clear the importance of integrity in the Bible, "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." Matthew 7:12

Jesus made it as simple as possible for us to understand when he told us, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” - Mark 12:30-31

Service "...whoever wants to be first must be your slave - just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” - Matthew 20:27-28

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." - 1 Peter 4:10

Give - "In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' " - Acts 20:35

"There is one who scatters, and yet increases all the more, and there is one who withholds what is justly due, and yet it results only in want. The generous man will be prosperous, and he who waters will himself be watered." - Proverbs 11:24-25

Righteousness - "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." - Matthew 6:33

"For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." - Romans 14:17

Empowerment - "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Acts 1:8

Ask - "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" - Matthew 7:7-11

Think - "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee." - Proverbs 23:7

“The outer conditions of a person's life will always be found to be harmoniously related to his inner state...Men do not attract that which they want, but that which they are.”
― James Allen, As a Man Thinketh
