The one belief I never let go of is my belief in love. I know that pure love always meets my needs and is my healing and my purpose. I encourage others to hold onto their belief in the power of love because when we all hold this belief uppermost in our hearts the world knows peace, harmony, joy and understanding.

WE are so often told to give up our limiting beliefs….

But there is one belief that we should never ever give up… that is our belief in love.

Yet, so many people do lose faith in love… do turn their back on a loving life…do give up the closeness of intimate relationships.

And the blame is on that four letter word… that word that is LOVE.

Those who find themselves isolated, those who choose isolation, those who take on the belief of isolation have also given up their belief in the power of love.

If that loss of love has come about because an expectation has not been met and someone or some people have not behaved in the way we wanted them to be, then we can be rest assured it was not love in the first place.

It was our need, our romantic dream, our fear of loneliness masquerading in the name of love.

If that loss of love has come about because we hold someone in our heart who will not live up to our expectations or even begin to satisfy our needs, then we can be rest assured this was not love in the first place.

Our love affair has to be the love affair with love itself.

Our love affair has to be with ourselves before it can ever fulfill our needs when we enter into closeness with others.

All love based on condition or expectation or reciprocation is of itself bearing limitation.

This is not how love works.

This is how human needs play out with emotional dramas based on others fulfilling our mirror.

But love works when it does not cause pain, when it does not expect, when it does not judge, when it does not feel disappointment.

Because we are rejoicing in the power of love.

We are celebrating the fact that we are alive…and are a loving divine instrument or expression of the Source which is pure abundant love.

When we believe in love, we know we can never be isolated. We are, after all, connected.

When we believe in love, we know that we are love.

When we believe in love, we know that everyone else is love too but we cannot control the disconnect in others, their fearful responses, their choice not to be love in their human expression.

Yet, they are still that which we are.

If we can encourage the expression of that which they really are in them, all well and good.

If we cannot influence them, if they will not change, we have to accept this is their choice and their journey comes from knowing what love is not to accepting what love is.

But it is this belief in love that will carry us on our journey, take us to meaning and purpose and allow us never to feel alone, abandoned or cut off from the Source.

It is the belief we never need to let go of.

It is the belief that is both our salvation and our destiny.
